How do I apply to adopt?
Start with our adoption process to read the requirements and what to expect. Then complete the adoption application (opens in a new tab). Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or adoption.
Can I adopt from out of state or Canada?
Yes. Out-of-state and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not provide transportation or ship dogs. You must travel to us to pick up your dog, and you are responsible for bringing them back if a return is needed.
How can I become a foster?
Fosters must be at least 21 years old and live within approximately one hour of Bloomington, Illinois. Read the full foster requirements, then email us to talk about whether fostering could be a good fit.
